In Liu Cixin's Three Body Problem sci-fi series, sophons are proton-sized supercomputers sent by aliens to observe, and ultimately thwart, the human race. Omnipresent and undetectable, they seek the smallest places to wreak magic upon Earth; silent watchers with a godly hand. While not necessarily embracing the destructive tendencies of Three Body's aliens, Sophon Lit strives to embody the spirit of the sophon itself; searching, sharing, and touching across worlds.
